Statement of Compliance under the Information Technology

At Friend2Talk, we are dedicated to responsible operations as an intermediary under India's Information Technology Rules, 2021. This is how we respect legal and ethical principles and ensure a secure community:

Transparency First

Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Community Guidelines are easily accessible in the app’s Profile section. We update users about policy changes at least once yearly and remind everyone annually that violating rules may lead to content removal or account termination. These alerts pop up in the Important Notifications tab and no fine print surprises.

Zero Tolerance for Harmful Content

To protect our community, we strictly ban content that:

Violates bodily privacy or harasses individuals (especially children)
Spreads deliberate misinformation disguised as facts
Impersonates others to cause harm, loss, or fraud
Threatens India’s unity, security, or sovereignty
Threatens India’s unity, security, or sovereignty

We use automated filters and manual reviews to proactively detect and remove such material. Nudity? Not here. Our No Nudity Policy means any explicit content or interactions get wiped immediately.

Working With Authorities

Got a legal takedown order? Contact our Resident Grievance Officer via email. Per the Rules:

We’ll remove flagged content within 36 hours of receiving valid court/government notices.
When lawfully requested, we assist authorities with information within 72 hours.

Data Retention Practices

User registration details stay on record for 180 days after account deletion.
Removed content is stored for 180 days (or longer if required by courts/agencies) for investigations.

Traceability When Required

If legally mandated, we cooperate to identify the first originator of specific content, as per India’s IT Rules.
